Conditions of access

The Refuges are jointly managed.
Please leave the sites as you would expect to find them.

Respect the buildings and the works of art.
Take your rubbish away with you.
When leaving, close all windows and doors.
Be respectful of the environment.
Use the dry toilets.
When handing in keys, please inform us of any damage or other problem you may have observed.
The non-return of keys will involve a penalty of € 800, to cover replacement costs.


Access is free of charge and unrestricted.

In order to visit the Refuges, a request should be made to the Musée Gassendi. Keys are issued in return for a deposit of ID.

River of Earth is displayed in the Musée Gassendi.

The museum's opening hours
1 April – 30 September, 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
1 October – 31 March, 1:30 – 5:30 pm
Closed on Tuesdays, and between Christmas Day and New Year's Day

Free to under-21s
Free entrance on the first Sunday of each month

The Musée Gassendi is accessible to persons of reduced mobility.
