“Whatever I do, I not only try to understand the stone or the leaf, but the flux of life, of death, of decomposition, of the energy present in the material. A river is the essence of the flux, the connection and movement, and I feel the urge to find the river in a tree, in a stone. I think that this sculpture is an attempt to find the flow, to find the water in the stone. It is a line of energy, of movement and flux."
